Credit Health

One of the first things you need to know before going out and buying a car is:  Are you credit worthy of getting a loan?  I can’t stress to you the importance of knowing where you are in your credit life before you start shopping for a vehicle.  The purchase price of the vehicle is totally irrelevant if you don’t have the credit to buy the car you see.  I suggest getting your own credit report at least every year.  You are able to request it from the major credit reporting agencies like Equifax and if you get one every couple of years, that would be the best way to stay on top you’re credit health.  Being able to qualify for the vehicle you want is JUST as important as being able to pick the color you want, maybe even more important because without the credit to buy a vehicle the color you want is just a day dream.  Keep up with your own credit score and credit history.  It’s not someone else’s job, it’s yours.  If you want to stay on top in life, keep your credit healthy.
